CONCERT - TORONTO PREMIERE

Sixteen Yiddish ghetto songs and stories performed by singers from the Dora Wasserman Yiddish Theatre in Montreal. Artfully combined with English narration and images, this performance is an homage to poets and composers who crafted them during the Holocaust. The popularity of their songs about love and loss, resilience and resistance, spread throughout the ghettos, forests and camps, despite the mortal danger to those whose voices gave them life. CD available for purchase. English subtitles for Yiddish songs.
