NEUBERGER OPERATIONS UPDATE

Updated April 6, 2020

Stay Safe. Stay Home.

In response to current health advisories and social distancing guidelines, our policies remain in place. Our events are cancelled, our offices and museum are closed, but our staff is working remotely. We look forward to reconvening as soon as it is safe.

We all miss our families, normal routines, and lives very much. By all doing our utmost to stay home and practice social distancing, we can protect our most vulnerable, ensure our healthcare system can function, and put an end to this global pandemic.

COVID-19 POLICY:

Together with UJA, we have decided to cancel or postpone all public gatherings, group tours, events, and large meetings until further notice. While we feel this is unfortunate, we also believe that this decision is best to prevent further spread of the disease to potentially vulnerable publics.

Great events can always wait. Protecting your health – and that of our entire community – can’t wait.

We are terribly disappointed that this decision was necessary in light of the current public health situation, but we appreciate your understanding. We apologize for any inconvenience.

We wish continued good health to all, a speedy recovery to anyone affected by the virus, and look forward to seeing you soon.

Summer Greeting

Wishing everyone a happy, peaceful and most importantly, healthy Summer 2020.

The Neuberger Team

VISITING THE MUSEUM

We are now closed. To confirm the status of our museum, please contact neuberger@ujafed.org.

We continue to monitor the guidelines for public gatherings, spaces, and museums, and will re-evaluate as soon as directed to by health authorities. We are very disappointed, but need to prioritize the health and wellbeing of our survivor community, volunteers, and staff. Thank you for understanding.

PUBLIC PROGRAMS & EVENTS

The Neuberger has cancelled or postponed all in-person public gatherings, events, and large meetings until further noticeAny paid event registration fees will be refunded. We apologize for any inconvenience. We will be in touch with new dates for these programs as soon as we know what is possible.

For specific event information, please refer to the event listing on the calendar or contact neuberger@ujafed.org.

TRAVEL STUDY PROGRAMS

In light of the spread of COVID-19 (Coronavirus) in our community and abroad, UJA is consulting with Toronto Public Health and taking reasonable precautions to protect the health of our community, public, volunteers and staff. This extends to all those involved in our programming and travel tours.

As a result, we have unfortunately made the difficult decision to postpone the Holocaust Educators’ Study Tour until summer 2021, out of concern for the wellbeing of the participants.

At this time, no decision has been made to postpone or cancel the Experience Jewish Life in Vienna program for young professionals. Please stay tuned for updates or contact mfishman@ujafed.org to inquire directly.
