Yom Hashoah V'hagvurah 2023 Community Commemoration

UJA’s Holocaust Education Centre invites you to join us, alongside partner organizations, for an in-person, community-wide Yom HaShoah commemoration.

This important program is presented in partnership with Friends of Simon Wiesenthal Center for Holocaust Studies, Canadian Society for Yad Vashem, the Azrieli Foundation, Facing History and Ourselves, and March of the Living, Canada. A virtual streaming option will be available for those who wish to participate online.

Program Highlights:

// The Bialik Hebrew Day School's Choirs, survivor testimony, and a candle-lighting service.

// A moving tribute to Toronto-based Holocaust survivors we have lost throughout this past year.

// Remarks from Canadian officials, dignitaries, and community leaders.

At this event we will be following all government guidelines regarding COVID-19. We respect that there are many factors that inform one’s personal decisions when it comes to masking. While masking is not required at this program, visitors who choose to wear a mask are fully welcomed and encouraged to do so.
