On 8 November 1939, German carpenter Georg Elser carried out an elaborate assassination attempt on Adolf Hitler and several other high-ranking Nazi officials. When the attempt failed, Elser was arrested and imprisoned in the Dachau Concentration Camp. During his confinement, Elser recalls his motivation and the events leading up to his plot (114 minutes, German with English subtitles, 2015; English language release 2017).
