Painful stories of descendants are interwoven with those of their parent-survivors, yet often overlooked. Utilizing the power of film, join Congregation Darchei Noam as we shine a light on these untold stories. We will explore how we choose to tell these stories. Three short films will preceed an insightful panel discussion with Jason Charters, the films’ director, and survivors’ descendants. Jason Charters has produced and directed more than twenty short films as part of the Azrieli Foundation’s Holocaust Survivor Memoirs Program. In addition, Charters helped design and create Re:Collection, the Foundation’s online documentary experience, bringing these stories to students across Canada and around the world.
