While Japan was an ally of Nazi Germany, it followed a completely different approach towards the Jews, including those who sought refuge in Shanghai and Manchuria, which were occupied by Japan during WW II. The program will look at the role that the Japanese Government, foreign diplomats and ordinary citizens played in saving thousands of Jews during WW II.

Miroslav Marinov is a Toronto-based writer and history researcher with a Ph.D. in philosophy. He has written 2 books; "Saved: Japan and the Jews in World War II" and "Holocaust Averted - Bulgarian Jews in World War II".
